The ACT Chapter of the Risk Management Institute of Australasia (RMIA) invites AIPIO members to attend a lunchtime discussion on the changes to organisational risk management.

Adoption of good practice guidance ISO31000 by the International Standards Organisation in November 2009 provides fresh stimulus for organisations to establish or review their framework for managing risk. ISO31000 provides principles and guidelines for managing risks organisationally. The lunchtime seminar will commence with a brief presentation of key features of ISO31000 and lead into an interactive discussion of organisational risk management.

The discussion seminar will be useful for those organisations that already have significant experiences of organisational risk management to discuss new issues raised and opportunities for re-invigorating under ISO31000. It also provides an opportunity for smaller organisations who may not be as advanced in their risk management development to hear from practitioners about the challenges and opportunities now raised with the new better practice guidance.
